Images of America: Cranston was written in 1999 and portrays the history of our neighborhoods such as Pawtuxet, Auburn, Arlington, Edgewood, OakLawn , Knightsville, Meshanticut and Western Cranston. In 2014, a sequel was published entitled Images of America: Cranston Revisited. Using additional photographs, this book examines Cranston’s history according to eight themes including agriculture, manufacturing, education, government, recreation and religion.
